Timberland Regional Library Foundation

Annual Appeal Letter

"There are some places you love with your heart, and there are some places that you love with your mind- the places that you love with both are called 'libraries'" ~Frank Delaney

Dear Library Supporter,

Season’s Greetings to you and yours! It has been an interesting year, with the challenges that cause us to find the best in ourselves and each other. The Timberland Regional Library Foundation has met these challenges and we are re-energized moving forward to address the needs of the many libraries and communities we serve!

The Foundation continues to strive to meet the growing desires and needs for services in each of the 27 libraries in the 5-county Timberland district. As the second largest library district in Washington we serve nearly 500,000 people. Customer service is wonderful at our libraries and so is our impact on the communities. This year we have seen an increase in the use of services (a trend expected to continue), not only in borrowing from the collections but also participating in children’s and youth programs, maintaining the Senior Connect program and in job seekers using the Internet.

In our effort to improve our ability to connect with our communities we have launched our new website which details who we are, what we do and how we provide support to the Timberland Regional Library. You will also see our current fundraising appeal and a thank you page that will be an acknowledgement of our donors and sponsors (unless there is a request to remain anonymous). We also have information on our new holiday “Gift of Charity” donation program. We think you will like this meaningful option for gift giving.

The Foundation remains committed to working with libraries to continue to identify unmet needs and raise funds for important initiatives. So we turn to our supporters and ask you to consider giving a donation that will truly make a difference. Everyone’s ability to give is different and we appreciate all contributions, so we ask you to give at a level you consider appropriate and generous.

Thank you for your support, kindness and generosity. They are truly the cornerstone of the Timberland Regional Library Foundation success in supporting our libraries.

With wishes for safety, health and happiness for you and yours, from the TRLF Board of Directors and staff.

Carolyn Dobbs, Board President

Beth Warner, Foundation Director
